ZMM "Metalik" is a joint stock company with 96.86% private and 3.14% state owned shares. The enterprise is certified according to ISO 9001 in 1997 by Daimler-Benz Aerospace and re-certified in 2000 again by Daimler-Crysler Aerospace. The factory manufactures drilling, milling, lathe machines and machining centres. Over 95% of its production is export-oriented.

The production of the factory is mainly export-oriented. The export of machines in 1991 was in 22 countries. In 1992 - in 31 countries, in 1996 - in 34 countries. In 1993 and in 1994 a good export development was achieved in Latin America. Since 1996 over 50% of the export is for Europe. For the stability of the export in the European Union countries an essential role had the adjustment of the machines to the requirements of the european standards and the certification in 1997 according to the ISO 9001.

In 2000 for the countries at the European market was exported production to the extent of 84.2% of the total quantity and only for Germany 56.7% of the total export volume.

Founded more than 50 years ago, ZMM "Metalik" is one of the veterans in machine building industry in Bulgaria.
